"HOW TO BUILD AN IGUANA CAGE".Building
an iguana cage is a big project, literally! Iguanas are curious animals
who like to climb around, thermoregulate and get up as high as possible
to feel safe and view the world around them. Aquariums just don't cut
it for very long. Keeping iguanas fed and clean in a warm and humid environment is a daily challenge -- and that's just the beginning. If you are an iguana keeper, you already know exactly what I'm talking about: constantly paying attention to your pet's health, safety, security, socialization, inspections, nail trimming, bathing -- it's all part of providing a suitable environment for these fascinating animals that we enjoy sharing our space with, and within our homes, they deserve a special place to call their own. I've spent several years developing a cage design that is adapted specifically for the needs of iguanas and can be constructed from readily available materials (with just one trip to Home Depot). Oh, and it shouldn't cost a lot to build either - or require a high skill level with workshop tools. Depending on your budget and your iguana, it can be built small - just 4 panels and a door - and grow to an ideal size as your iguana grows. An ideal size would be 10 panels and a door - 4 feet deep by 8 feet long by six feet tall. Another nice option is a five-sided corner design - just 6 panels and a door... Maybe now would be a good time to take a look at some pictures -- and then decide if you want to go ahead with the project... - "How to build an iguana cage" page 1... -> Photos | FAQs | Links | Contact ... |
